Bzz Campaign: Glade Expressions.

My apartment has been smelling fantastic this past month thanks to Glade Expressions and Bzzagent! This is not an easy task considering I have 4 cats and one stinky boyfriend in a 1 bedroom apartment.

According to the Glade website: "These true-to-life fragrance combinations are inspired by art and designed to open up note by note, filling your home and inviting life in."

Unlike a lot of other home fragments kits and spray, these Glade Expression products are meant to be displayed in the home. I really like the idea of have home fragrance products that look nice enough to become a part of my home decor. I usually just hide them away in the cabinet in my bathroom and in some dark corner of the living room.

About my experience:

My Bzzkit included a welcome letter and a hefty coupon booklet. I got two free item coupons, one for a free Glade Expressions Oil Diffuser Start Kit and the other for a free Glad Expressions spray. I also got several dollar off coupons. I had a hard time finding some of the kits and sprays and had to go to several stores for all the one I purchased.

Glad Expressions Oil Diffuser Kits: Lavender & Juniper Berry and Pineapple & Mangosteen.

I picked these two kits because they are were only ones I could find in stores. I really wanted to try the Fuji Apple scent and went to handful of stores looking for it. I hope someone gets it there soon!

Glade Expressions Sprays: Pineapple Mangosteen, 2 Lavender Juniper, and  Vibrant Bloom.

I was able to find a better variety of the Glade Expressions Sprays in stores. I love lavender so I purchased two of those.

I decided to put one of the diffuser kits in my hallway because it always smells like my boyfriend's work clothes. He works in landscaping and I make him keep his oily, stinky, and dirty work clothes in the hall. My hallway usually smells like a mix of grass, dirt, and fuel.

Glade Expressions Kit: Lavender & Juniper Berries.

My hallways smells a lot nicer immediately! I wouldn't say that the kit smells much like lavender though. It has kind of a clinic smell to it. It reminds me of something I would smell in a doctors office. I don't consider this a bad thing because it smells a heck of a lot better than grass and fuel. The nice white design really made me realize how badly my hallway needs to be painted. The advertisement on the box said they smell would last for a month. I would say it lasted for more like 3 weeks. It's been a month now and I probably need to refill it. I really miss having that nice smell in my hallway. Thankfully, the kit came with refill coupons! Awefreakingsome!

I put the other kit in my bathroom right on top of my toilet. I know it isn't the most decorative area to display it but I had it out in my living room first, and couldn't smell it at all.

Glade Expressions Kit: Pineapple & Mangosteen
Meh, the change in location did not matter. I was a lot less impressed with this kit. I have a teeny tiny little bathroom and couldn't detect any scents coming from this diffuser. I even checked it several times to make sure I installed it properly. I could smell the pineapple and mango if I put it right up to my face but not all otherwise. I would not purchase this scent again as it is not nearly as powerful as the Lavender & Juniper.

Next, I tried out some of the Glad Expression Sprays. What is real nifty about these is, you can take the wrapper off to make them look nicer and less obvious in your home.

Glade Expressions Spray: Vibrant Bloom.

I kept them Vibrant Bloom spray near my cat litter because I found it worked the best with my box odors. I would wait for my cats to do something gross smelling and run over and do 2-3 sprays. The nasty smells goes away right away and is replaced with a scent springtime scent that is very vibrant. Vibrant Bloom is the perfect name for this spray.

Here is what one of the sprays look like naked:

Glad Expressions Spray: Pineapple & Mangosteen.
I kept this spray in my living room. I was a lot more impressed with the Pineapple & Mangosteen spray. It has a much stronger scent than the kit. I spray it every once it a while when I want to experience a nice pineapple and island scent. This was my favorite out of all the sprays. It makes me feel like I'm on a tropical island. LOVE IT! I haven't tried the Lavender & Juniper spray as yet. I plan on putting it out in my living room if I ever get tired of smelling pineapples.

Overall, I had a great experience using these Glad Expressions products. I wish that they were easier to find in stores. I plan on keeping an eye out for the Apple and Italian Mandarin Kits. I'm very pleased with how my apartment smells and with how the sprays and kits look. Many thanks to Bzzagent and Glade for making me a part of this campaign!

28 Day Hug, I love you!

I discovered 2 awesome things whilst randomly searching Google Blogs this week. My first discovery was this totally fanfrakingtastic blog called Box Bitch. *cool blog name alert* The second thing I discovered was, a review on her blog for a newish subscription box called 28 Day Hug. I've been wanting to try out one of these time of the month type boxes for a while now. The reason I hadn't tried any before is that all the others send you pads or tampons making the boxes more costly. I get most of my monthly products for super cheap already thanks to my couponing skills. 28 Day Hug does NOT send you maxi pads or tampons of any kind.

Every  month they send you "a nice care pack every 28 days with a little chocolate (the good stuff), some tea ( a nice brand or our personal PMS blend), and a little aromatherapy treat like a bath salt or a shower tablet." Tea and chocolate?! SOLD. It only costs $5.98 (with shipping) every 28 days. Anyhoo...I decided to order it on the 2nd because my Aunt Flow is due to visit any day now. Well...it got hear already all the way from Oregon (I'm in NY)!  Talk about fast shipping.

Here is what I got:

My goodies came wrapped all nice in pretty purple tissue paper. How cute!

Mighty Leaf Rainforest Mate Tea
TEA TEA TEA! I love tea and I've never tried this brand before. I'm 110% excited to try this tea. I'm going to wait until tomorrow morning because it has caffeine and I'll be up all night if I drink it now.

Pure Matters Green Tea Extract
Meh, I'm not big on pills. I'm wondering if I can open these babies up and make a hot green tea drink.

2 Bug Bites and 1 Dagoba organic chocolates

I love chocolate almost as much as I love tea. I cannot wait to rip these open!

Smith & Vandiver Foot Cream
This stuff sounds so cool. I'm so glad they send me a lotion instead of something to use in my tub. I'm 5'10 and taking a bath in a standard size tub is not always relaxing for me.

Overall, I really loved this box. I love the idea of trying new chocolates and teas everything month. The lotions and bath stuff are an added bonus. I'm almost looking forward to my next visit from Aunt Flow. ;)

Today's Tap: 1/24/13

I haven't done one of these posts, or updated my blog in general for a while. I honestly just haven't been in the mood to post all that much. I will try to do better now. Blogging is such a time consuming activity. Right now my blog looks very boring but it would take me hours to make it look all nice and pretty. I have the time it's I just don't feel motivated to do it. Well, a lot of my favorite sites like Bzzagent are helping me feel more motivated this week!

What's new on Crowdtap:

  • Absolutely nothing. I completed my Durex Sample and Share last week and that it about it. Things have been real slow on Crowdtap lately. I hardly ever get invited to sample shares and never get top rewards. I'm starting to think the site is not worth my time.
What's new on Influenster:

  • I haven't been paying much attention  to this site lately. I got my Holiday Voxbox and while it was nice, most of the stuff wasn't really geared towards me. I think Influenster might be better for 20-something girls who are into a lot of beauty products. I need to work on my voxbox posts. I plan on doing most of that tomorrow.

What's new on Swaggable:

  • I received a mini container of Bill All Purpose Cleaner to review. It's an all natural cleaner with food-grade and plant based natural cleaners. It smells really great and does a decent job of cleaning stains.

What's new on Expo:

  • I have a couple new review videos up on the site. My Glade Tryology video is now up and running here
  • Things have a been a little slow on this site too. I have a bunch of videos I need to film. I just need to get back in the mood!

What's new on Bzzagent:

  • A-freaking lot! I worked really hard on my  Morningstar Farms campaign. My blog post even got a excellent rating! WOOT!
  • I am currently involved in a Redbox Instant trial. BLAH. Not a very impressive service as of now.
  • I got two new campaign invites today! Yup, two! One is for Shick razors and the other, for Glade Expressions. I'm so excited to be a part of both of these campaigns. I'll be writing more about them both in the upcoming days ahead.

Bzzing in the kitchen with Morningstar Farms.

The other day I blogged about how I was invited a Bzz Campaign for Morningstar Farms. I have been eating  their products for years, but this time I decided to try something new. I search all over for a recipe that would satisfy both my vegetarian needs and those of my carnivorous boyfriend. I finally decided on this Vegetarian Swedish Meatball recipe, that I found on Pinterest. We did make a few changes to the recipe. Most noticeably, we used the Morningstar Farms Meatballs instead of making our own. Here is how it all went down:

I got some of our ingredients ready. We used vegetable stock instead of mushroom broth. We cooked the noodles and starting following the rest of the steps in the recipe. I've never worked with flour before so I had my boyfriend help me.

Now, it is finally time to add the meatballs. They look so delicious! I was very impressed with how many meatballs came in the package. The box was really small so I was surprised how many were in there!

Next, I had my boyfriend add the noodles and stir. We both had such a blast cooking together. We usually just eat when we want to spend time together. It was a nice change to be cooking together. I think it is something we are going to do more often from now on. We will use Morningstar Farm products of course. ;)

Here is out finished product. It looks so good!

I couldn't wait to get my hands on some of the dinner!

Stuffing my face.

What did I think of the Morningstar Farms Meatballs? Love em'! They don't taste exactly like real meatballs of course, but they have a nice meaty taste and texture  I was impressed with how many meatballs came in the package. It was a very good value. I would definitely use the vegetarian meatballs in other recipes. Moringstar Farms Meatballs are great for vegetarians and people who are looking for a healthier alternative to beef. They don't have nearly as much fat or calories as the real stuff and they taste pretty darn good. My boyfriend is a carnivore and not only did he eat all the meatballs on his plate, he went back for seconds! He is usually very picky about eating my vegetarian food so that says a lot.

New BzzCampaign: Morningstar Farms.

This week I got invited to another campaign at Bzzagent for Morningstar Farms. I'm so stoked to be a part this campaign. I have been using Morningstar Farms products ever since I became a vegetarian 9 years ago. This campaign truly is a perfect fit for me.

Morningstar Farms makes a wide variety of healthy meat alternatives. Some of my favorite products include:

  1. Veggie Buffalo Wings. These taste amazing and will keep you from feeling left out when all your friends are eating chicken wings. They make a great party food so the next time your guy as his friends over to watch a game, trying making some of these.
  2. Hickory BBQ Riblets. OMG! These are so amazing. I love to make a plate with some corn on the side. I fed these to my meat loving boyfriend once, and he liked them.
  3. Meal Starters Grillers Recipe Crumbles. These have become a staple item in my home. They can be used a substitute for ground beef in a variety of dishes. I love to use them in place of beef when making tacos. YUMMY!

I got my Morningstar Farms Bzzkit in the mail on Saturday. Here is what was inside:

  • 1 coupon for a free MorningStar Farms products up to $4.99
  • 4 $1 off one Morningstar Farms Product coupons
  • A Bzzkit postcard
I decided to try something different for this campaign. I searched all over the internet for a new recipes that would be pleasing to me and my boyfriend. I'm going to be posting about our meal experience in another day or two. In the mean time here is a picture of some of my ingredients:

Here are a few ingredients. Can you guess what we made?

Cravebox New Year's Resolution Unboxing Video.

I got my very first Cravebox today. It is the New Year's Resolution box. I decided to do a short unboxing video. There was so much cool stuff that it turned into a longer unboxing video. ;) Enjoy!
